Here is a refurbished sewing machine I made.  It was a little white one and I used Finnabair's Rust Pastes to make it Steampunk.  I painted it brown after sanding it, then added her pastes.  I also added many Steampunk items, scissors, thread rolls, bobbins, a string going through the machine, a measuring tape and much, much more.

Here is a piece I call the Gears Go Round, there are many gears on this piece
Underneath them is a chain rolled up and around the outside of the heart bezel
are rhinestones.  The bezel is an open heart on top of a plain bezel with designs
on it.  There is a gear hanging from the bottom
This is a very heavy piece and so is the chain.  I feel it can be unisex and worn by a
man or a woman, the chain is approx 12 in long and very heavy.   On the right
side of the the heart is a Fleur Du Lis

Blogging

It has been a little while since I blogged, things have been so busy around here!  I think it is time to put a hold on the scrapbooking and start the jewelry again.  I will be vending in October at Art-Is-You in Stamford, CT. and I need to start making jewelry for the trunk show.  I am thinking of decorating some bottles to sell and trying some encaustics with them for a different spin on things.  I will be selling the jewelry that I design, including some Steampunk pieces which is usually my specialty.  I am thinking about a few more things that I may get into, for example, some mixed media that I will sell as well.
I hope if you are in the area of Stamford, Ct., you will visit the Art-Is-You trunk show at the Stamford Hotel.  Now it is back to work and I will be blogging again in a few days.

Honeymoon

Hi folks, I thought I would write a little about my Honeymoon here because it is just something I want to always remember.  Paris was lovely.  We stayed at the same hotel that they filmed the last episode of Sex And The City, in fact, we stayed on the same floor!  I took pictures of the rug where she dropped her necklace and the steps that Big ran up on.  Our room had the full view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony, it was awesome as you can see by the picture here on the blog.  I will upload some pictures at a later time.  We ate at the cafes and bistros where the food was excellent and took a Handsome Cab ride through the city.  What fun.  Then we traveled to New York City, where we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Towers.   While we were following the Concierge to our room, we saw there was a Lyndon B. Johnson Suite and thought "wow that must be something", well much to our awe and surprise, she opened that door and there we were, in his suite which was SIX rooms, every window had a different view of the city.
We ate at a fine restaurant called Daniel owned by the Chef Daniel Boulard and the food was fantastic, then we saw Phantom Of The Opera.  What a great play!  We had tea at the Plaza and the best bloody mary you could ever have.  We went to the MOMA and we had a grand time.
I wish it didn't have to end, but alas, it did, so we decided to go back to Paris next year!!!
Hope you enjoyed reading about our little adventure and BIG Honeymoon!!
